My name is Jeff Mitchell, and I am the editor-in-chief of ArtHouseFilmWire.com.
Watching over 150 new movies annually for years, I’ve come to one primary conclusion: The size of film’s budget does not correlate to the amount of stars that I will give it. Any movie with a rich story will certainly garner my attention, no matter how extravagant or frugal the budget.
Certainly, I prefer an exciting, special effects-driven Marvel film as much as the next person, but I tend to be attracted to the art house, film festival type of movies. On this site, I’ll cover every type of genre, but – above all else – I’ll be on the lookout for art house films. Enjoy your movie-journey out there, there are lots of gems…let’s find them together.
